To celebrate the reopening of Te Whare Toi City Gallery Wellington, Meadowlark has created an exclusive collection inspired by Cornelia Parker. Drawing on Parker’s practice of unmaking and remaking, as well as themes of reversal and inversion, the collaboration challenges convention to create something unexpected.

The Candelabra Charm Earrings Squashed takes the readymade objects and flattens them, giving them a playful, almost cartoonish form. Suspended from bold hoops, the new shape deconstructs the symbolism of beauty and grandeur usually associated with the candelabra. Made to be collected, layered and loved.
