To celebrate the reopening of Te Whare Toi City Gallery Wellington, Meadowlark has created an exclusive collection inspired by Cornelia Parker. Drawing on Parker’s practice of unmaking and remaking, as well as themes of reversal and inversion, the collaboration challenges convention to create something unexpected.

The Candelabra Charm Necklace Squashed takes the readymade object and flattens it, giving it a playful, almost cartoonish form. Suspended from a fine chain, the new shape deconstructs the symbolism of beauty and grandeur usually associated with the candelabra. A piece made to be collected, layered and loved.
